On February 29, Jeff McCue, the Commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA), visited LARE Institute for a Meet & Greet luncheon with our Students. The Commissioner was accompanied by:

• Erin Quinn, Associate Commissioner of Training Programs, DTA
• Mike Cushner, Director of External Affairs, DTA
• Julianne Lima, Director of Communication, DTA
• Massachusetts State Representative, Andy Vargus

Our visitors arrived here at 11:00am, they were greeted by the Director of LARE Institute, Michelle McCarthy and President/CEO, Tom Connors, who led them on a tour of our LARE Institute where they had the opportunity to learn about our programs and see live demonstrations of lab work, lectures and workshops.

The Luncheon included introductions, Students’ personal stories, and a Q&A session on how state-funded services could be better provided to the Students that we serve. Our visitors had ample time to ask questions and make comments to each student. Their stories were very emotional as they spoke about their life struggles. All of the students and the Alumni were thankful for both DTA and LARE Institute.

It’s a WOW! Magical time of year! And our LARE Institute Colleagues worked hard with Santa and his elves to put together a wonderful party for our LARE Students and their Families at both our Chelsea and Andover locations!

There were gifts of toys, goodies, and games … and of course there was lots and lots of WOW! Magic, every where you looked. The halls were strewn with holiday décor, Christmas lights, winter wonders, and CandyLand galore! Our Students and their families enjoyed pictures with Santa, his elves and even visits from the Grinch during their fun-filled day in our Winter Wonderland!

There is no greater joy for us here at the LARE Institute than that of bringing Christmas cheer and magic to the lives of the children of our own LARE Students.

We wish you all a very WOW! Magical Christmas and the Happiest of Holidays… with LOVE.

Guess what’s back, back again?! Our 2023 Tie Dye Day & Carnivale! And it was overflowing with WOW! Magic! that’s for sure!

We had roaming circus entertainment performed by Boston Party Adventures, cool treats provided by Richie’s Slush, great food prepared and served by Simply Elegant Catering, incredible music brought to us by DJ Larry Falk the Musical Dynamo, and games galore provided by North American Amusements! And of course, more tie dyed t-shirts than we could ever count!

The LARE Institute of American Training held its annual Graduation Celebration on Thursday, June 22nd, at our 6 Campanelli Drive, Andover location.

The LARE Institute, has served the Merrimack Valley and surrounding areas for more than 40 years. This year our Graduates walked in front of a cheering audience of Family & Friends to receive their Certificates. Our Graduates earned certificates in a variety of our programs spanning from; HiSET, Electronics Assembly, Business Technology, Certified Nursing Assistant, and Medical Assisting.

The atmosphere was filled with WOW! Magic and the emotion was palpable as each Student marched across the stage before switching their tassels in unison, marking their end as LARE Students and start as LARE alums. Congratulations Graduates!
