Medical Assisting - CCMA, CPT, CET

Students will learn: Patient charting, Vital Signs, Standard Precautions/Infection Control, Preparing patients for examination, Examination Positions/Sequence, Eye & Ear Assessments & Procedures; Medication Calculation and Administration, Basic Pharmacology, Electrocardiography, Phlebotomy, Hematology, Laboratory Specimens, CPR/First Aid, Medical Terminology, Medical Law & Ethics, Externship.
Associated Exams & Certificates
Upon passing the National Healthcare Association (NHA) exam, students can earn the following:
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
  • Certified Electrocardiogram (GET)
Graduate Entry-Level Opportunities

Medical Assistants, Clinical Medical Assistants, Health Assistants or other job options in the hospital, doctor office or laboratory environment.

Nurse Aide/Home Health Aide Training

Students will learn: the fundamentals of patient care including infection control, safety, and emergency procedures, measuring, and recording vital signs, patient food and fluid intake, personal care skills, patient mental health and social service needs, care for cognitively or sensory impaired patients, restorative services, clients’ rights, and legal aspects of patient care.

Upon passing the MA Prometric State exam, students can earn the following:

  • Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Graduate Entry-Level Opportunities

Certified Nurse Aide, Home Health Aide, Home Care Assistant, Nursing Assistant, or other job options under the direction of off-site or intermittent onsite licensed nursing staff in a care facility.

Phlebotomy Technician Program - CPT

Students will learn: Students will be introduced to a clinical lab where focus will be upon procedures of blood collection, devices and methods, transportation, handling, processing, and infection prevention. Students will practice blood draw on mannequins prior to completing live draws.

Upon passing the National Healthcare Association (NBA) exam, Students can earn the following certification:

  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
